how dark can tint be in SO. CA

I just got to say thanks for the post and pics. I got a black 05 IS300 sport cross yesterday and it looks pretty weak without tint. From all the posts I'm thinking 70-75% or UV only front and 35% rear 3 glass sets. I got an appt Friday with tintmastercity in Canoga Park. This post helped me decide what to do. Thanks!!
