Default how much should i be lookin for, price wise for a 2002 IS

Guys i want a 2002 IS300. Now what should I be looking for as far as a good price. I've seen them online for like $14,000. but the Lexus place had a 2002 with 80k miles for $25,995. What should I talk either a used car place or a private seller down to?

I wouldnt buy a 2002 for anymore than $19k. I work at lexus and i know what they try and pull there, sales wise. That place with the 02 with 80k for $25k is a total rip off. The one for $14k might be a good deal, but you definitely want to do a carfax, it might be salvaged. Just my .02 cents

How reliable are they, if i got it with 75k miles will it last me another 6 years. I bought a 93 Gs300 with 100k miles and im up to 182 4 years later...how much do you think Lexus gives people on their trade. like an 01 IS300 with 70k miles?

just check with bluebook and think about how much would you pay. i brought my 02 is300 with 5 speed manual, 49k miles clean title, from a independent dealer for $18000 + tax. that happened in march 06.

Hi, For what its worth. I bought a 2003 IS in 2004 with 17000 miles for $26,500. It sounds like they are way over charging. I bought the car from an Acura dealer that had taken the car in as a trade-in. Good luck joining the IS club....
