IS300 requires octane number to be 91 or higher.
I always use Shell 93. Very rarely Sunoco 94, which seems to produce more power, but less gas mileage.

I figured it would take 91 or higher, most v6 are starting to demand it(ie Nissan Maxima??). I think that it has to do with the higher compresion ratios these engines are using to pull the most power out they possibly can.
