Hey guys im looking for an auburn sky is300, from what i have read it seems that this color is really rare so im having trouble finding one with a manual transmission, in fact i have never seen one with a manual trans anywhere. I know the color was a 2001 only. Does anyone know if any 5sp auburn sky is300s were made?

No, Lexus did not make a manual IS until 2002.

 

First, let me compliment you on your color taste. Auburn Sky indeed was a nice color....it was my second choice (narrowly) behind Solar Yellow when I bought my 2001. I was sorry to see it go in 2002.

Longo, I'm afraid, is right. I don't think you are going to find any original factory Auburn Sky 5-speeds.
The color was dropped before the addition of the 5-speed in 2002.

My advice?......if you really like the color that much (and I agree with you ) go ahead and look for one with the E-Shift. Unless you live in a really isolated area with no stop-and-go driving, you will appreciate having the automatic.

Auburn Sky is a great color .... are u guys sure that 2001s were automatic only i think i have seen a few 2001s advertised as 5sps like maybe they came out midway in 01 ... i will probably call up the dealer and see if they can look it up or something .... i might look for an IS in canada they have different colors and different options. Does anyone know anything about importing cars from canada?

the 2001 Auburn Sky only came in AUTOMATIC....as all 2001 models did...

only 2002 models had 5 speed, and auburn sky was discontinued

my color was a 2001 discontinued as well...

 

yup, 2002 were the first yr for 5 speed, very very positive
