Performance Chip

I was just wondering if anyone has installed it or is using it.....on ebay search is300 performance chip and about 10 or so come up. a little black module that gets installed "somewhere," what does this thing actually do and is it worth it and where does it get installed?

Most of them are crap crap crap unless it's a true air fuel computer ala SAFC

I would take it as a sign that no one I know of has one in their car unless its the SRT combo unit. Just my 2 cents

nop, i don't even have the srt

some people got it from ebay, ends up being some resistor or so

There is no such thing as a "Performance Chip" for any Toyota or Lexus models. Toyota ECU's arent' designed with a ROM slot for upgrades. Whatever you come up with from searches are hocus pocus mods. For the record, no Toyota/Lexus ECU's have chip mods. Only piggyback systems like Dave mentioned... Apex S-AFC or etc.
