Default What tint should I get?

I have a MSM IS300 and I am looking at either getting limo tint, or that reflective looking tint. Which do you guys think looks best? If i go with the dark tint I would most likely go with around 15% or a tad darker. Thanks.

Default Tint

I actually just went to a tint shop here in Santa Barbara, CA. The guy was really nice, showed me his VW Passat Wagon and compared, and basically said he will hook me up.

I am probably going 5% on the rear, side, sunroof, and probably 50% on the front. He quoted 3m the good sutff, and from the top of my head, I think $265. Let me know what kind of quotes you get.

GOOO Black, looks better man@

Mirror tint is nasty IMHO. Since the door pillars/frames are already painted black...it's best to keep with a charcoal gray tint. I recommend SolarGard. I've had SolarGard tint on many of my cars for years and the color has still stayed nice and gray...no purpling. 5% is Limo. Where are you from? Depending on your location...stick to whats legal. Here in CA, you cannot tint any front drivers or passenger windows other than the rear. Most of us do it anyway. I have 20% on my rears and 35% for the fronts on my 04 MSM IS3.

SolarGard, Madico, 3M are reputable brands to stick with.

While window tint may look good, as Flip pointed out, its legality in both the shading tint and amount of window coverage varies from state to state. Another important thing to keep in mind.....it will impact on night vision and low-visibility conditions to some extent. So, if possible, try out a sample of what you're going to buy after dark before signing on the dotted line.
Fortunately, the IS300's excellent HID lighting system and fog lights should help minimize night vision loss even with the tint, especially in rural areas with no street lights.

Thanks for the ideas. I got my dealership to do the tint option thing when i bought the car. i am in texas and legal limit is 35% but that is not dark enough for me. I was thinking about going to a local place which does install sunguard and doing prob 15 all the way around other than windsheild. Costed my friend around 190 and they did a good job.
