I own a 2006 Highlander Hybrid with 235,000 miles. The transmission and rear differential fluids were changed @ 195,000 miles. Drained and re-filled with Toyota WS fluid. I am wondering if either of these components have any type of filter that needs to be changed. Neither one of these components have a pan that can be dropped like a conventional CVT and/or conventional transmission...I want to be proactive with the service of these items to get the most longevity out of them. I own a 2002 RX AWD that is nearing 300,000 miles with no transmission or engine issues. The trans fluid on that vehicle was drained and refilled at least once every 40-50k and the pan dropped and filter changed every 100k with Toyota Type IV fluid...I am hoping that if I treat the CVT the same, I can get to 300k...is that wishful thinking??
