Default RX 450h CVT with Launch Gear

Hey folks!

I've watched some videos talking about Toyota adding a "launch gear" into their CVT transmission system, which I think is pretty cool. For example, this video talks about it:

I'm wondering if this type of CVTs are in new RX 450h models.

Thank you!

He's talking about the Direct Shift CVT (note its at the top of his whiteboard) which is a CVT found in the Lexus UX200. Lexus hybrids like the UX250h and RX450h use eCVT which is a terrible and confusing name. But it is PSD or Power Split Device. Combining an electric drive and a planetary gear set. So in Lexus's case MG1, MG2 (the electric motors) and the epicyclic gear set (PSD) are all contained in a single tansaxle housing bolted to the engine.

Thanks! I looked up eCVT and it indeed is completely different from the CVT I had in mind. My question doesn't make sense at all LOL.
