No, it was not, unfortunately, this used car place, did not do the right thing, they knew the battery was bad, and cleared the warning light. The warning light “Check the Hybrid Battery System” turned on 5 days later, I had to replace the battery.

 

Well at least you're all set now to enjoy the car. I hope you get many more years out of it. Also if you did decide to sell it then you should get a decent price given it has a new hybrid battery.

 

To prolong the high voltage battery lifespan, be sure that the system's cooling vent(s) (rear seat, rear deck, or C pillar) area are not blocked. Also, the cooling fan for the system or its filter (if any) may be dirty from excess dust, hair or pets which causes the battery to overheat and reduce lifespan.

 

Forgot to mention that rear seat covers or rear deck mats are also primary causes for overheating if they are blocking the fan vents too.
