2008 RX400H Class Action/ABS Assembly/Live Stream
Hey folks. Lexus will not honor a warranty extension on my wife's 2008 400h, even though they never informed us of the ABS brake assembly warranty extension back in 2016, and we've been the vehicle owners since 2014. Warranty extension was mailed to previous owner and covered through Nov. 2018, so we're SOL. Regardless, moving forward, here are my questions:
1. I have red warning light, red brake light, and amber lights on ABS, traction control and the exclamation point in parenthesis). Will Tech Stream be able to pinpoint the problem? I have an OBD II scanner, but this does nothing, as there's no check engine light. I want to be 100 percent certain it's the ABS Brake Assembly prior to spending $550 on EBay for a used one.
2. Is anyone aware of a class action suit or pending recall for this problem? Seems very common on Lexus SUV hybrids 06-08 and same for Toyota Highlander in same years. Naturally, as it's brake-related, it seems serious enough to warrant a recall.
3. Has anyone here replaced the ABS brake assembly on their RX 400h or Highlander hybrid? If so, could you provide pics/details/video? Will also have to know how to bleed. (Please don't tell me to simply take it to mechanic. I can handle this, but would appreciate guidance).
4. Is there a way to confirm the ABS Brake Assembly/Actuator are bad with a multimeter/ohm meter?
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. FWIW, I had the 12V battery tested at AutoZone, and they said it was fine. The codes still exist, even after pulling the 12V battery. Along with the array of lights, I have "Warning: Check Vehicle Stability Control." "Warning: Check System," and "Warning: Check Hybrid System." According to the service manager at Lexus dealership, based on the ABS and Brake light warnings and red "warning light" with exclamation point (accompanied by high-pitched buzzing and hard to depress brakes), he's 99.9 percent confident the ABS Brake Assembly needs replacing.

Yes, you can replace it yourself.
To bleed system, you either need to use Techstream or, place system into service mode and bleed conventional way.
There are severla posts about this in HiHy sections at toyotanation.
