Hi my Lexus giving me a p0430 as per dealer
o2 bank 2 is off and soon the catalytic converters will be off too
so he said change both problem it’s 5000

anyone experience this ?? Failure of converter ?? Test he did was obd2 and nothing else on converter

This code may indicate a catcon that is damaged, leaking, or failing in some way, or it could just be a faulty sensor. The code is generated when two sensors, one before the cat and one after don't show an improvement between the two.You said the only diag was a code read, but a full diag would include a visual inspection of the cat to check for damage or stuff rattling around inside, inspection of sensor wiring, and also comparing the output of the two sensors involved under various conditions to see if they appear to be sending reasonable results.

Its a lot cheaper to replace an O2 sensor than a catcon so unless its something obvious wrong with the cat after a full diag I would start with the sensor(s) and see what the result is.

I got o2b2 to be replaced that’s what Lexus said but in time catcon Fido’s as per them

im not a machinist but curious to do things myself
may I ask where is b2 o2 located
there is tons on internet n confusing articles

I solved it finally today after a month
it’s just a spark plug no. Fouler in bank2 o2 sensor
computer will be happy
but also checked catcon is working as it suppose to be by live data
hope it helps someone
