Just wanted to update the thread about the my engine noise complaint above. It had nothing to do with the engine but more to do with exhaust configuration. Apparently this was an effort by Lexus to make the models a bit more "butch" as explained in this thread..... https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...ine-sound.html

In the Gen 2 hybrid, you turn the key to start the car and it's dead silent. In cold weather the gas engine will kick in after a few seconds, but the initial startup is always silent.

Did this change in Gen 3?

No.

It always starts the ICE several seconds after hitting the Start button. It starts the oil flowing; and the hot exhaust gas warms up the engine's coolant (thereby helping to warm up the engine).

Is it being sold as a Certifed PreOwned (CPO)? Only tire brands on the list
of OEM suppliers should be fitted. May be fine enough tires but do not
let them pretend it is CPO or charge you for that.
