RX400h - no power brakes or steering and errors galore!
Hi everyone, I'm new to these forums and would be grateful for any thoughts/guidance!
I bought a Certified Used RX400h almost 3 years ago. For the last 2 years I have had an issue where if a little water like morning dew covers the car the computer goes on the fritz! Fortunately living in drought stricken California this doesn't happen very often.
Upon starting the ignition:
Loud and continuous beeping sound
No power steering upon start, but sort of comes back after a bit of driving. Feels sluggish.
No power brakes! There are brakes but it is very hard to stop a 5000lb car.
Speedometer and KV gauges read "0"despite moving.
Error messages:
Check Hybrid, Check ABS, Check VSC, PS and brake light is on.
The dealer found a crack in the sunroof tub and said water was trickling down the A pillar to the computer by the left footrest. They fixed it and yet this issue has returned. I have taken the car in about 5-6 times over the last 2 years and they have collectively had it for months.
As it is under warranty I am not out of pocket, but am concerned as to whether they will be able to fix this.
I have read others with symptoms of what I have, but are there similar cases and how were they resolved?
Thank you
Ken
