Post Keyless entry not working + AFS check

Hi Everyone,

I do have a 2011 RX 450 H 2011.
I have a on and off issue which tend to be more frequent lately.

Issues;
My car does not recognized the key and the remote.
I have to open door manually
The car is kind of in sleeping mode alarm system not on (red light not blinking)
I have to put the key against the start buttom plus wait 5 sec to be able to start the car
After the car run well but Check AFS and Traction light are on
Usually he goes back off after a couple of restarting of the car

Also, I have told that the alarm went off by itself a couple of times ... may be not link to it.

I went to dealer ship to look into it and ther were not able to find the issue (5 hrs later). They say that it could be the computer in charge of the keys but they were not able to confirm.

Anybody as experienced the same issues and have an idea how to fix it ?

THank you very much for your help,

Francis

first, the dealer should have been able to give you a more confident answer. dealers have access to lots of resources, the best being a tech line for extra assistance.

they can check the computer, they are probably just lazy.

do you have a remote car starter or any after market system?

As a first step they ask me have the remote starter being removed. Could a small accident in the front / sensor being broken trigger something like that ?

Thanks

Could be as simple as your fob battery being weak. Holding the fob near the start button is what they tell you to do when the battery is weak. The fob is energized continuously so the battery needs changed at least once a year.
