Hi, my main key split apart yesterday and i ordered a shell as the internal system is all good.
I wanted to use my spare key which i was able to insert in to the key holder and was able to turn to the right and i see all the lights are on and all of them are showing perfect but when i try to further start the engine then its not working and i am getting lights of break and rest all showing ON.
did any one experienced this issue before, if yes then what is the solution for this.

Do you mean a spare key fob, or the credit card sized key?

With the credit card key, you have to hold the electronics in the card right next to the key when turning the key.

If it's the key fob, you may need to replace the battery. Does the remote work from a distance to lock/unlock the doors?

 

can you also post how much it was to get the key cut?

seems like the plastic breaks every 2 years for us and it's $20 to cut the key each time..
