Considering an LS600hL
The 600 has given me no problems except installing the aftermarket sound was a bit complicated. With that being said I think the end all arguement is that if you don't have the money then dont buy it. If you're "considering" a 600 then you should stop right there. Because why would anyone want a lesser vehicle? There are options u might not use? Thats the whole point about luxury get it because you want the top of the line Lexus 460 owners will never understand the feeling of driving a 600 unless they own one. Speculations and guesses won't do it justice. There's no greater feeling than pulling up next to the GM of your dealer when you get service and he has a 460L and you have a 600hL.
Random but are extended warranties more on a 600 vs 460? I love the 600 and the technoBAWSEness of it all...but damn son, I have to take the wifey to Tahiti, Bora Bora and the Maldives before I can get one lol
The 2010+ is all around a better car besides the instrument panel. The trunk is bigger, better nav, etc. However they are a good bit more expensive and I am probably in the minority but I don't like the exterior styling of the 2010+ LS'.
The Lexus Platinum 8 yr. 100k mile warranty is close to $3,000 whereas the LS460 warranty is close to $2,500 so it is only a $500 difference.

Thanks!
I almost walked away from the 600h but after a couple back to back drives with my 460 and with the dealer taking off another $1,000 I bought it. It needs a new center console cover since the old owner must have rested his arm on it a lot since it was pretty worn and the car only has 30k miles on it. I ordered a new one from Sewell for $300. The only thing that isn't perfect is the drivers side armrest on the door, this has some wear where the leather is worn. I won't be replacing this one because you would have to replace the whole door I believe.
As for the car itself, it is big and heavy but drives very nice. I love that it comes fully loaded with the exception of the executive package. The radar cruise is nice and the power sunshades and rear entertainment system will be nice for my kids. As for the headlights, I don't notice any decrease in lighting compared to the HID's. I actually like the stock 19" wheels on this car and they put new Pirelli tires on for me. I was a little hesitant since I just put Bridgestone Turanza Serenity's on my 460 and they were the best tires I have owned for quietness. However, these Pirelli's are very nice and are also very quiet. Surprisingly there is no wind noise, this car is quieter than my old 460. One of the things that I liked better in my old 460 was the leather, the semi-aniline is too soft to me. All in all, I am pretty happy.

Hi
Have had both a 600 H and a HL
the H is better on the road but it doesnt differ much.
The exta kg in Hl makes a small differens in power.
But on the other hand the vibro chair is nice.
The trunk isnt impressive but a normal children trolley will fit.
Regards
Ake

now that I have had my 600hL for about 4 months and 4K miles on it so far, I must say it was probably the best decision i have ever made....the car is simply amazing and I have that "damn, I have a 600" feeling ever time I walk up to the car, get in the car, drive the car, and when I get out again lol...the car feels much different to me on the road than my 460 did..more sturdiness..probably the additional weight...the fact that most 600s come with every option possible, you just can't go wrong. Sure, it costs a little more, but dem headlights doe
