92,000 miles and mine went out.
Before you read my next paragraph, I want to preface that I LOVE Lexus and I would I am not bashing. I absolutely love my car.
People claim that their dealership tells them good things about the Hybrid battery, but lets be honest. The dealership and service guys only can testify as to what they have seen. Like I said in my other post, these batteries are not time tested. I can not attest to the car in its mileage below 75,000 but I do know the power we generate for your motor in the back is very taxing on the batter and that when I got my new battery in, they reflashed the car and I am not making as power as I used to. I think they are on to the fact that these batteries are used in the same way the Prius's utilized them so they are not a good basis as to their longevity.

I was also told that Lexus will cover them regardless of age or mileage due to wanting them back for failure analysis and taking care of their hybrid customers who are essentially beta-testing their technology. I was also told that I have a new 8-yr / 100k mile warranty on this new battery pack just for peace of mind.
Even though it failed, I give them two thumbs up for customer service.

Wow. That's almost like clockwork. Well I hope they keep their policy for batteries reaching over 100k because a big selling point with Lexus/Toyota is the reassurance that mileage is not usually a factor in reliability.

I've seen 2 on ebay with over 100K and I would assume on orig battery as they didn't mention the warranty. There are tons of Prius' and Camry's out there with over 100K on the batteries as well. Some 10 year old Prius are turning 200K. But from what I'm reading this technology is different as the hybrid motor is built for power not efficiency.

170,000+ and still going strong
My GS450h has 170,000+ miles and is still going strong on the original traction battery.
Now that I posted this, it'll probably go out next week. lol

2007. I got the car at 60k. I'm at 104k mi right now. I prefer the "power" mode and the car still feels snappy/fast.
The rear passenger shock has blown out (I think). I might upgrade to coilovers.

I have 94,500 on my '07. Had to replace a right rear strut. It was under warranty!! no other trouble! Just about to do brakes. Going with drilled and slotted with ceramic pads. I still love it!

I bought mine with 94k and in reading the Carfax before I bought the car i saw that it was brought into a dealership 50 miles before the listed miles at the selling dealership for a "battery warning light on"
That actually was a good thing because that meant I had 6k miles to have the battery totally die and get replaced. Sure enough the battery warning light came on 3 times and on the third it was replaced under warranty.
My ONLY complaints are the size of the trunk. It will bug you eventually and no spare tire. The trunk cant even fit a spare if I wanted to bring one along.
Like I mentioned i did get notice that the battery was going bad. The warning light came on a total of 4 times before it finally "died"
Hope this helps

07 gs450h
I have an 07 450h I just hit 115k.
I had to replace a battery due to check vsc light coming on. Used dealer I bought it from paid half ($100) I paid other half earlier this year. This past weekend my check hybrid system light came on so I took it to Lexus. Some sort of shift sensor gave out causing the light to come on. That's $630 and they gave me 10% off of that total. I love this car to death and it drives amazing but I am very nervous about that Damn hybrid battery going out. I hope nothing else happens or I will regret buying it.

Just bought an 06 (same as the US 07) 450h with 54,000 kms on (33554 miles)
I live in New Zealand and was looking to import one from Japan but got a really good deal on a NZ new car.
My wife and I love it!
We purchased an unlimited kms 3 year extended warranty on it just in case we have battery/invertor problems, or other issues.

Late to this thread but I've got 115K on my '07 and had the traction battery changed under warranty a while back. Oddly, it seemed that after that battery was replaced, I could swear performance seemed to improve. Still original hybrid battery.

2007 GS450h
Hey,
I'm late but mine had 183,000kms (~114,000 miles) before the E-cvt (hybrid transaxle) gave out, towing it to Lexus for diagnosis.
They say that they've never heard of a GS450h cvt dying....well, I have one!
