how many miles do you have on your GS450H
I'm very interested in the battery life on these cars. Hoping to see some 2007 owners with loads of miles check in.
2 questions. How many miles have you logged on your GS450H? Have you had any battery issues? |
So 41views, but no posts.. Hmmmmm

I had mine changed at 60k. Currently have 62k on my 07.
|
I know there was a member that just changed his traction battery at 100K and it was a 2007, personally I have 52K and still going strong.

Thanx Black.
So ahhh, not a lot of traffic on this forum huh? |
i got approx 16K km on the odo (i wonder if that's the lowest mileage ever on a 3GS?). no problem with traction battery.
as for low traffic in GSh forum, of course. GSh is low volume production, so you won't have a lot of GSh owners posting comments. |
46K miles on my '07, no problems of any kind!
|
My '07 has about 28K miles, no indications of any kind of problems.

I'm considering buying one that has around 70K on the Orig battery. I avg 25K a year. So the battery would go out of warranty in about 18 months. So I'm very concerned about the batteries longevity. |
92,000 miles and mine went out.
Before you read my next paragraph, I want to preface that I LOVE Lexus and I would I am not bashing. I absolutely love my car. People claim that their dealership tells them good things about the Hybrid battery, but lets be honest. The dealership and service guys only can testify as to what they have seen. Like I said in my other post, these batteries are not time tested. I can not attest to the car in its mileage below 75,000 but I do know the power we generate for your motor in the back is very taxing on the batter and that when I got my new battery in, they reflashed the car and I am not making as power as I used to. I think they are on to the fact that these batteries are used in the same way the Prius's utilized them so they are not a good basis as to their longevity. |

Did Lexus replace them under warranty?

2008
just got 24k, bought it 6 months ago with 14k....zero problems (small rattle in passenger side door when I turn up the sound)

Yup, the battery is the only real scare with this purchase.
I did a search on companies who repair hybrid batteries. Found only one and they didn't return my call. If I'm stuck with dealing with Lexus when the car is outta warranty then I'll have to budget for it. This is a major component much like engine and tranny but could cost more. |
