"Successfully" changed pads and rotors on front and rear. Rear guide pins on calipers were a bit seized so replaced them too and all's good EXCEPT the rear driver side's (right, I'm in UK) rotor is showing that the pads are not contacting properly and after taking it all off again to ensure the slider and piston are definitely moving easily, it's still doing the same.
Looks to me like when the brakes are applied there's no pressure at that caliper's piston.
The three others work fine.
Any ideas on this one??

I know your climate is harsher than mine, but the Brake rotors and pads last forever on this RXhybrid. Because of the regenerative brake system (electric) the wear on the conventional brakes is very slow.

How long have people driven before hearing the brake pad wear sensor on their 400hs? My prius went 150k on the original pads with still lots of life left -- then I sold it. Wondering about pad life with the 400h.
What mileage have you obtained before hearing the audible warning sensor built into the pad, or confirming with a real measurement of pad thickness? (just changing the pads because a dealer told you to based on mileage doesn't count).
I drive on the highway and almost never use hard braking so I mostly use gentle braking and use the regen of the 400h to make electricity instead of making brake dust.
"the front and rear brake pads should last well over 100,000 miles and might not need replacement for the life of the vehicle."

I just traded in my 2006 last month. But I had the original brake pads until 115,000 miles. I hadn't hear the wear indicators yet but new they were toward the end of their life.

Ok folks just changed my pads for second time on front, they went 115k miles and the inside pads were definetly close to wear indicator. So next need to check rears. 227k on the vehicle.
