I read something a few years ago with the Toyota hybrid and it was something like your break pad wear on a hybrid would be next to nothing due to most of the breaking power coming from the hybrid break regeneration. Apparently you only use the pads when you get hard on the breaks.
Makes since and seems like I have to do almost no hard breaking, most all of it I think is done by the tranny feeding the generator to charge battery. Anyone else read about this????
If this is true I guess you should never need break pads unless you are a hard breaker.

At 60,000 miles the brakes on our 400h had 1/3 of the wear that a normal RX would have. By that logic the brakes should be replaced sometime after 150k miles....that's some nice savings right there.
