Our 2006 400h has miniature "mud flaps" at the front wheel wells in front of the tires. They are so small, I can't imagine them being functional. I pointed them out to the dealer, and they had never noticed them before. Yet they were on every RX on his lot. Does anyone know their purpose?

 

Something to do with aerodynamics - splitting the airflow hitting the front tires if I remember correctly.
