Default How much for RX 450h

Greetings,

I am a newbie here and am planning to get a new 450h. Over the weekend, I visited a local dealer for a test drive. The window sticker price on that was $51,757. I asked for $45K + TTL but the dealer's final offer was $47K + TTL, so I walked out.

Is my offer too low or right enough or can I increase my bid a little bit? Just looking for your valuable input andsuggestions.

thanks a bunch
Kan

try visiting sites like carsdirect.com or edmunds.com where you can input your zip code and see what "others" are paying for the car with similar options.

In all honestly, 47K seems very reasonable to mee since the sticker is almost 5K more....thats is a huge discount.

Hi all,

I'm also in the market for an RX 450h and am also from Texas. That seems like a pretty good price to me. If you don't mind sharing, what dealer quoted you that price? Good luck with your search!

thanks a lot for all the responses. The dealer was Sewell in Dallas. I am going to visit another dealer in a couple of days to negotiate on Sewell's $47k. Lets see what happens. BTW, the invoice price is around $46.3K.

The base invoice price on a 450h is $38,841 (edmunds/MSN) or $38,320 (some other sites). Adding all options makes it $46,835 or $46,314. Deduct a 2% dealer hold back, and it comes to $45.5K-$46K. So I started with $45K.

thanks

have you tried on carsdirect? i don't know for sure about car config in tx, but here in socal, 52k car (pretty similar to your msrp), the invoice iirc is 47xxx (playing from my memory).

if you ask me, getting invoice would be a good deal. i don't know of any manufacturer incentives on the rx hybrid, dealer holdback is like the money they make?

Ha ha! Don't worry Kan, I am closing on a house in 2 weeks so I won't be buying this car until at least a couple of months after that (when my bank account recovers). But seriously, if you do end up getting a good deal here in Dallas and/or a good salesperson I'd love to hear about it. Good luck!

I'm in Savannah (a one Lexus dealer town) and I paid $47,500 for a RX 450h that had an MSRP of $51,400. I also got 2 years of maintenance included in that price. Good luck on your search!

Finally, Sewell agreed for another $300 off ($46,697.99 + TTL) to make it$50,000 drive out price. Its a brand new Obsidian Black with Parchment interior arriving in a couple of days.

thanks everyone for your valuable input.
