This wasn't one of my choices but I can buy an awd rx 450h for $1,000 over invoice which is causing me to seriously consider. Anyone have this color? do you love it? My wife thinks it looks a little pinkish on the lexus web site.

 

You got to go look at it in person under good daylight. The website and the color brochure are not good for judging if you will like the color. You will regret it if you pick the wrong color only to save a extra few hundreds dollar.

 

Just spent some time at the Lexus dealership thinking of actually trading in my 2010 RX350 (dark gray) for their 2010 Matador Red. With black interior. That color is stunning!

My wife isn't a red person but when she saw this color at the dealer she said it's beautiful. She convinced me to take another look. We now own it and we get a lot of complements on the color.

 

I got one of the very 1st 450h models and love it. My 1st choice in color was the Starfire pearl and the dealer did an in-route trade to get it for me. My 2nd choice was the Matador red and I still know I'd be just as happy if that's what had come in. In person it just seems to lift you up a bit.

Thanks everyone. I was feeling good about the MR even though I have never been a red car guy but now I have a decision. Another dealer has offered to sell a black sapphire equipped exactly how I would order and also at $1k over invoice. I will probably go with the blue since this is what I was looking for but I have to admit I was getting excited by the MR.

 

I searched for close to two months trying to get a MR with the rear seat entertainment. Every dealer I contacted kept telling me that they are making very limited number in this color and even less with the RSES. I finally snagged one with the NAV and the dealer installed an after market entertainment system in the headrests.

 

I got the best deal on a Matador Red vehicle and have been happy with it. It is a darker, more metallic red than a typical "red" car. In fact, my wife has a red car and when they are sitting next to each other, you wouldn't really even call the Lexus "red."

 

Picking up the black sapphire on Saturday with some regret for not staying with the MR after all the positive comments about this color.

 

You won't feel any regret, the black sapphire pearl is an awesome color. I think it's much better than the obsidian black and equal if not better than the MR. Enjoy it, colors are such a personal preference!!

My (wife's) 450h is Matador Red, and she loves the color. In fact, we special ordered the car because the dealer wasn't getting of this color in. Looks pretty good to me too.

 

What color interior? My salesperson found my Matador red with the black interior.
