I feel the same way... I don't see the big shift aside from the curve of the lights. Here's a pic of the 07 for arguments sake...

I also see they smoothed the roll in the license plate area as well...

It looks good. Very subtle, but it helps steer it away from the look of the BMW Lexus 7 series sedan LOL.
