Favorite features
Today starts day five, I picked our car up on Monday. 'Anticipation Reins' has turned to Very Satisified. I'm becoming more and more familiar with the many features. I may even subscribe to satellite radio.
I had been worried that since the A/C was totally electric and not dependent upon the engine speed to run the compressor it wouldn't cool well. No worries, you can hang meat if you turn it down enough
. Electric brakes and steering seem normal enough, no real getting used to them except slow creeping in the garage to get just to the right spot is somewhat tricky. But I'll manage that. I'm still having trouble wondering where the 'normal' feeling is when you start it, just doesn't seem to be running (but it is).
Because we live in such a hilly area in North Georgia, I don't and can't expect the fuel economy in town that flatter terrain would give, but it's not hard at all to realize at least a 10mpg jump from our 2003 RX300. And the handling is so much better, it really is a driving improvement.
One of my 'Favorite' features is the (we have the HID headlight system) way the headlights swivel on our country roads to light the way as you turn the wheel. I didn't realize it would be that much of an improvement. Personally I'm very happy with them and would have taken the high tech LED's if they were on it, but I won't miss them. These lights are bright and the auto dim feature (shutter) works great.
Maybe this thread can continue with everyone's favorite features or impressions of the new 'h'. It's quite a car.
