Default Front highlights fogged from inside

I’m not sure whether to purchase online for about $300-400 both, a sealed assembly of my 2011 RX450h front highlights and provide my local private Lexus/Toyota automotive garage for replacement of the fogged from inside headlights? Obviously not going through my local Roseville, CA automotive mall & Lexus new car dealer. However the private Lexus/Toyota garage guy told me that the replacement can cost even above $2K since the access from inside of the headlight assembly is not possible, they need to be replaced, the whole assembly of HID Xenon highlights. And better leave w/ that? Not sure whether to trust buying as cheap online these brand new sealed assembly of HID Xenon headlights for my model year? Any advice and sharing experience is highly appreciated.

Find a set from a salvage yard [buy exactly the same as you have].

I am not in a position to question the diagnosis, but just for grins wet the lens from outside [even wd40 on rag will do]. If the plastic becomes clear then the issue is on the outside surface.

I did already outside headlights ckeaning, the condense & fogging is from inside the seal compartment, which cannot be unsealed and address the problem, needs the entire assembly replacement which at dealership could cost over $2K, the Lexus private automotive repair garage consultant told me that. He did not offer a replacement if we can get cheaper eBay online assembly for this 2011 RX450h HID Xenon headlights. BTW the pair of HID assembly is available very affordable if one can trust the eBay seller?

You should also contact Rancho Used Lexus parts as they are a reliable source of recycled Lexus parts. http://www.rancholexusrecycling.com/

Hollander is a database of used parts recyclers all over the country that you can also try in addition to eBay and Rancho Lexus https://www.hollanderparts.com/

You may like to visit Lexus parts and or visit online Lexus parts store and get the right part numbers [yes left and right]. Lexus offered different options like AFS etc, so you really need the right pert number. Need more than yr/model.

There are Asian parts sellers like Amiyama [One time good experience with them].
