Hey guys and girls, anyone else with a 2025 RX350h or any year of this new gen hybrid having this issue? Sometimes when I take off from a stop, the car feels like it’s stuck in limp mode — barely moves even if I floor it. After a few seconds it goes back to normal. Just wondering if this is a hybrid glitch or something wrong with my car. It only happens once in a while, and I haven’t been able to recreate the issue on purpose.

 

Change the dash display to show RPM. I bet your ICE engine is not running when you are stopped, then you feel a surge when it starts to kicks in.

Our 500h does that.

IMO It is no worse than our European car that stays in 2nd at a light, but then downshifts when the pedal is depressed.

 

Yep, my ICE wasn’t running. Glad I’m not the only one. I can live with it but whenever it happens it always throws me off.
