I have Noticed fast draining of my 2007 RX400h battery since start of this year.
Is there any new development like Lithium battery applicable for upgrading this car model batteries or should i install the same version of specifications pertaining to the old batteris?

I don't see any advantage buying a high end battery for these hybrids, get a regular 51R designed for hybrid use in the brand you like.

I researched Lithium batteries before I did the battery on my RX450h. From what it sounds like, the technology is still kinda new and there are horror stories of Prius owners buying them, only to have them fail after 3 years just outside of warranty.
I would suggest going with the traditional NiMH technology, but go with the cylindrical cells that offer far, far better airflow through the pack. You'll get SIGNIFICANTLY better cooling which will help a lot. Companies are now manufacturing these cylindrical cell packs as an upgrade as opposed to the older flat pack style design which has little to no airflow in comparison.
