How to make Drive mode and Map Settings to stick ?
Has anyone tried to make the Drive Mode set to Custom (or to Eco for that matter) - and make that setting stick across powerdown/lock ? Essentially tie this setting to the Driver Profile, so that it doesn't revert to Normal everytime one gets in the car ? I tried to do this by using "Set" and then "1" clicks which is supposed to tie every current setting to the Driver Profile saved to state 1, but with no luck, as it doesn't stick. I also tried using the Lexus interface with no luck
Also, the same setting for the Navigation Map - where I try to have the maximum-angle 3-D view with zoomed out view as the default saved Driver Profile, but I think that is also not sticking...

The Drive Mode (ECO, NORMAL or SPORT) stays, even after the MM display is totally reset.
So do the individual preferences in settings (using the 'gear') for Suspension Firmness and Steering Response.
We run these settings across both drivers (primary & secondary) so I can't tell you if different drivers can have their own settings.
Never tried the Nav settings you mention. We use WAZE for navigation because it shows where the cops are.
PS: After being frustrated with the Profiles for 6 months, we reset the MM system, and now have our profiles tied to the key fobs. That way even if the Primary Driver is riding in the car, or the car senses her cell phone, the 'nut behind the wheel' (me)
gets his own settings and radio Favorites while driving, long as my fob is sensed while driving.
Facial recognition isn't that reliable, probably because we routinely park with the steering wheel turned slightly, blocking the steering column sensor.

Yes, I have tied the settings to the key fob as well, and facial recognition works well for me (I'm the sole driver of mine).
I found that the "Eco" setting is sticking across reboots, so maybe I'm just having a problem with sticking the "Custom" drive mode (I like to set steering response to Sport and others to Eco in my Custom Drive Mode - for my daily commute).
Pretty consistently can't get the 3-D view in Lexus to stick - it always seems to be defaulting to the 2-D view

Hopefully this is a bug and not a feature. Not yet sure how to report bugs to Lexus though.
Gotta look it up: (Wife has the car right now) but when set separately (not as part of the Custom mode) the steering response, suspension firmness, and A/C operation can be changed, and those settings will stay.
