Default how much ATF WS fluid does the 2013 RX450h

hi all,

Manual misplaced, and searched that the 2013 RX450h takes 1.9 quarts of ATF WS oil (part number 00289-ATFWS-LX) for the rear differential. The ATF WS fluid/oil is the same one used for the front transmission oil. How many quarts does the front transmission oil take? Is it the same as the rear differential?

Btw, is the Toyota 00718-ATF00 transmission compatible with the 00289-ATFWS-LX one? I have a couple unused bottles of 00718-ATF00 but I won't chance it, though. Just curious if they are compatible.

Thanks.

The front transaxle or power transfer unit in Toyota Speak, takes about 4 quarts of ATF. There is no need to measure since you just fill it up until the fluid spills out of the fill hole on the side. FYI Idemitsu TLS-LV is a full synthetic direct substitute for Toyota WS. https://www.idemitsulubricants.com/p...tf-type-tls-lv
Amazon has it. I am running it in all my vehicles.

See post 4 in this link which is a pdf from the service manual https://www.clublexus.com/forums/hyb...-and-rear.html
