Is it advisable (or OK) to leave a hybrid parked for several months at a time? The car would be in a garage in Florida and used for several weeks every 2-3 months. Would this detrimentally affect battery performance, or longevity? Would it make sense to use a battery maintainer? Any risk of fire using a maintainer? Thanks!

 

Yes, it will affect the battery. It is not recommended to leave it unused for more than 3-4 weeks, and not often.
