so my hybrid battery has apparently failed- or that’s what the repair shop I took it to is telling me-. Is it possible to only fix specific cells on the battery or will the entire battery need to be replaced? If only the cells how would the shop figure that out? Thank you
Yes. Professionally rebuilding the battery is the best option. For example, when my HV battery failed in my Prius, I had it rebuild by replacing 4 modules and balancing it for about $550. 3.5 years later still runs strong.
Just out of curiousity how many miles did you have on your RX450h when the traction battery failed? And what signs did the vehicle start exhibiting before the traction battery failed?

about 140k miles, I wound up going with a used hybrid batter out of a 2015 RX. Might not have been the best decision cost wise but seemed like I couldn’t get anyone to just fix the hybrid battery on Long Island
