Do the NX lug bolts work with the spare? Best to test fit before you would actually need it.
You actually would want the 165/90/18 spare if you have 18" or 20" wheels as you want the spare as close as possible to stock diameter.
stock 18" 235/60/18 = 29.1" diameter
stock 20" 235/50/20 =29.3" diameter
165/90/18 = 29.7" diameter
165/70/18 =27.1" diameter

 

Unfortunately I don't pick the car up until 12-15 April so I can't see if the bolts work. Having said that, The Kit came with a set of 5 bolts. So, I'm guessing they know it doesn't fit.

As for the spare, the wheel is 18" and the tires are Kumho 131 and it is T155/90 R18.

 

That's why my spare is a 165/90 18, 90 is the key because it has a taller sidewall. Click on the link https://tiresize.com/comparison/, You will see that my 245/50s and 165/90 spare are 1/10 of an inch different in "rolling Diameter" or 680 rev. per mile vs 681 rev. per mile---------------------don't think you can get much closer than that. If you stay with a 235/50 you still need the 165/90 spare, the spare would be 4/10s larger than the 235/50 which is a negligible amount. If you have 20" wheels a 165/70 or 155/70 will not work, to much difference in rolling diameter. Modern Spare uses a 155/90 18 tire mine is a 165/90 18, yes Modern Spare has a better wheel (that's what your paying for) and uses a tire that has a better DOT rating but how many times are you going to use it?

As to your other question all Subaru's years ago came with full size spare tires but not any more. We know all Subaru's have AWD but some/many/most now have a temp or "donut" spare that is the same size as the regular tires. I would guess "same size as the original tires" is the key for the AWD. If the tire size varies to much on any AWD system it get's confused and want's to put more power to the smaller tire (at least that's the way I understand it). I don't think my NX will know the difference in 1/10 of an inch (nor would a Subaru AWD system), you would have that much difference if you had 3 tires with 37lbs of air and one with 33 lbs.

I am no fan of our 2022 NX 350 AWD loaded Luxury and will trade back to BMW in 24 (I hope). I have a 2020 X6 but my wife wanted something smaller, last year (and now) the X4 is about impossible to find. That's how I ended up with the NX-----------------------------9 months old with 1500 and change miles. My wife would rather drive my 2022 Honda Ridgeline RTL- E Black Edition than the NX.

You can get them from Tire Rack. I kept my 17" winter tire/wheel setup from my 2021 RAV4 Prime to use on the NX 350h, Tire rack sent me the proper lug bolts for $20 for the set of 20.

They should fit the same as the Rav4 Prime. NX offer 20' or 18" wheels, R4P 19" or 18" wheels. the biggest difference is the NX uses lug bolts and the R4P use lug nuts.

 

Your other post said you used 17" wheels. I think that's what prompted his question.

 

Please let us know if you confirm that 17" wheels fit the NXh. That opens the door to many more options for winter tires.

Yes the lug bolts fit, the wheel has the radius seats, I removed the LR and installed the spare when I receive it. I took off the Bridgestone 235 RFs and put on Perilli Scorpion AS Plus 3 245/50 R20 102V UTQG 800 AA non run flat tires, The difference in diameter of the 165/90 18 and 245/50 R20 is 1/10 inch.

Lug bolts instead of nuts are for lighter weight and improved rigidity of the wheel to hub mounting. This is a good change.

I live in Chicago,Illinois and I am looking to exchange 18” to 20” silver wheels. I have 2023 NXh with the original 18”.

 

Damn. I wish we were closer. I want the exact opposite, to trade my 20" silver wheels for the 18" wheels on my 5 week old 350h. I am in the Albany, NY area.

 

The 17" (new RAV4) rim fits the NX! We tried it on the front and rear in the service center.
