Default Driver side strut is leaking, need replacement.

Hello all,

I was quoted $1k for both driver and passenger struts ( labor + parts ). From what I have gathered around it's rather pricey. Anyone knows where I can find proper replacement parts? thanks a bunch. The car is a white 2010 base model 145k miles on it.

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/hs-...d-struts.html\

also the parts are like 190 if you go to lexus it will be like %50 more money

https://www.lexuspartsnow.com/parts-...html?PNC=48520

just buy them online and take it to a local mechanic and save money,

also if this car is based off the camry why cant we use camry parts?

It has a unique chassis that is not shared by any other US model Toyota or Lexus. It only has the Camry engine, hybrid system and transmission.

Just buy the front struts online as linked above. There are no aftermarket struts for the HS250h.

Any local repair shop can install struts as they are the same basic design on every car based on the original patent from Mr. MacPherson over 60 years ago. Almost every current manufacturer has some models with MacPherson strut suspensions. You just need the knowledge and a good spring compressor.
