Default Oil pressure light and engine coolant temp

Hello All,

So I just bought a new to me 2010 hs250h with 84k and I love the car. I sold my 08 es350 to pay for the hs but I just had a couple of questions and I was hoping someone could answer them. I didn't buy from a dealer and the guy I bought it from did know.
1. Do these cars have low oil pressure lights. In case of low oil pressure?
2. Do these cars have engine coolant lights/gauges, in case of overheating?
My old es350 had both and my wife's gx460 also has both. I might be missing something because I cannot see to find them.

Thanks in advance

Do you have an owners manual? There should be a picture of the dash with all the lights on it. I'm not near my car so I can't look, but I seem to recall needing similar info (I think it was a different warning light and I needed to look up what it was). If you don't have one, I'm pretty sure you can google a copy online.

Register for free at the Lexus Drivers- Owners website run by Lexus and you can access the owners manuals, videos and after entering your VIN, look at the service history that was performed by Lexus dealers. A great resource!

Also there is a recall for almost all 2010 HS250h vehicles to get a new transmission. Call Lexus with your VIN, or check on the above site to be sure it was done or if you are eligible. You do not want to pass up on the opportunity for a new transmission for free!

Oddly enough, the HS does not come with a low oil pressure light. Not that I know of. I must have something to do with the hybrid system. It does, however, have a coolant light. If it flashes, its getting too hot. If it stays on, shut off the engine. It's overheating.

Every modern car w/ an ICE typically has a low oil pressure light... doubt yours would not. that would be a liability for Lexus. A simple way to find out is look for a red oil light when you turn your car's ignition to accessory mode (do not start the engine). The light should illuminate with the rest of the warning lights.
