Default Best tire option?

I'm really not liking how quickly these low profile tires wear out.
I think I had Toyo's from the factory and I now have Yokohoma's, the Yoko's lasted longer than the Toyo's but not by much.
Looking for a LONG lasting tire, and if possible one that softens up the ride alittle.

Options?

18's? Not sure you'll find much that goes 60,000 miles if that's what you're looking for. These are low profile performance tires. I get maybe 35K on Michelin MXM4's, which is typical for all season sport sedan tires. michelin has a newer model out, but I have no experience with it. I also had my HS shod with Conti DWS's, and got about 30K out of them. I can say both the Conti's and the Michelins were a bit softer than the stock Toyo's, and had a bit less steering response. But IMO, they also matched the suspension better for more predictable handling.

The Westlake SA-07 is one of the options on that link you posted (showing out of stock though). In my experience they provide a quiet and reasonably cushy drive on 18 wheels. Don't know how durable they will turn out. Just some info for you, don't take this as expert recommendation.

You can usually get good information from the www.tirerack.com site tire ratings and survey results. I have Goodyear Eagle Sport 225/45/18 and they provide great steering and handling while keeping the ride comfortable. It feels very European. Seem to be wearing well. However much more expensive....

I just got a pair of Nexens from Honda for $587 out the door. How did I end up at Honda with Toyota right next door? The line to have my oil changed was too long at Toyota!
