2010-2012 hs250h headlight compatibility
Hey, first thanks to everyone for contributing to this forum. I appreciate the insights. I have a helpful tip and also a question...
Q: Any chance the hs250h headlights are compatible with another Lexus or Toyota model? Is it me or does the CT200h look awfully close.. as does the 2009 corolla?
Tip: So like others my headlights became discolored and over the years I've tried many of the off the shelf products etc. However, most did little to nothing and even caused more damage at times. I found a super nice and cheap solution. It takes a bit of elbow grease but the results are stellar. I only wish I had tried it first before I took a dremel polishing wheel and ruined the one on my driver's side lol. I used a lint-free rag and a can of "brush-cleaner" (homedepot). I thought I was just going to wipe residue from road off but kept rubbing and it kept getting more clear. Give it a shot before you go spend more money or use anything abrasive.
Thanks,
Nic

No other Lexus model headlight housing will fit. Try eBay for used headlight housings.
I have used the 3M headlight restoration kit on a friends old Honda and it worked well. It involved several passes with a cordless drill and various compounds and pads.
I then top coated with Mequires headlight coating to provide the UV protection that was removed during the restoration. It keeps them from turning yellow as fast again. You need to re-apply it every year.
