both headlights out at once
Hey. Wondering if there is anybody that has an answer or similar problem recently or in past. Woke this morning at 5 AM to work and started the car as usual. Driving down the street got a flash from oncoming cars that my headlights were out. I got out and noticed that both headlights were not working on any setting but the right passenger parking light was on. The high beams worked too. Any thoughts on whether this is a relay that is out or that both lamps blew at the same time? I have over the last two months also noted that the automatic collision system activated when I hit a steep hill and coming out of the dip. Scary sensation when it automatically brakes and the lights start flashing. Don't know if there is any connection to suggest an electrical problem. Thank for imput.

I think both sides, left and right, have their own fuse under the hood. I think it's fuse #31 and #32. Plus there is a low beam/ high beam relay there also.
Other than two burned out bulb at once, when you lose both low beams at once it's a strange issue.

okay. the final findings. three bulbs out. Go figure. All at once or not noticed but sounds strange to me that I drive every morning before sunrise and no problems seeing with headlights. Both headlights out and the driver parking light. Cost me a pretty penny to have all three replaced at the dealer, but would not have been able to do so on my own. Thank goodness it wasn't an electrical problem though. Oh well. Must be timed light outage. A new roost by the makers of halogen lights.
