Is the Lexus 250h based on the Toyota Prius
I had a strange fixation with this particular model in high school. Just curious, is this vehicle based on the Toyota Prius? If so, what particular generation is used as a basis and what technology is shared or carried over, and what are some major differences?

No, it's based on the Avensis, a European version of the Camry. And it has the Camry Hybrid's powerplant (a 2.4L engine with bigger electric motor) rather than the 1.8 found in the Prius. It's also nearly 25% heavier. So it doesn't get nearly the mpg of the Prius (about what the TCH gets), but it's a lot more fun to drive :-)
