I have a silly question!
Is there a way to disable the automatically unlocking when you place the car in park? I hate that as a single woman, it can be a bit unnerving when you're alone and not ready to hop out of the car and the doors unlock automatically.

The dealer might be able to disable it. There were some settings that can only be set by dealer on my RX, I believe disable door unlocking while parked was one of them~I would give them a call and find out

We have the navigation screen. To do what you want on ours, you start the engine, then press the "Menu" button, then click on "Setup", "Vehicle", "Vehicle Customization", "Door Lock Settings", "Shift-Linked Auto Unlock". "Off", "Save". After it saves the setting, it will work the way you want. That is, the doors will stay locked after selecting "Park". I just tested it on ours.
Hope this helps. If you don't have the navigation system, I'm not sure how to do it.

sublexus is correct.
If you don't have a NAV, you can turn off the auto unlock when you select park through the multi-information display switch on the steering wheel.
I have mine setup so it locks when I select "Drive" or "Reverse", and doesn't unlock when I select "park" or turn off the power switch.
If I open the drivers door within 10 seconds, all the doors unlock. If I wait more than 10 seconds, only the drivers door unlocks and all the others stay locked.

Wow, I have navigation but haven't bothered to play with it much or read my owners manual. Shame on me for not knowing that I could disable. Thanks for the help. I'm going to try it today!
