Unhappy Locked Keys Inside the Car

So, I let my girlfriend have the keys to my HS250h loaner car for 5 minutes and she managed to lock them inside the car. Because it's a loaner I don't have a spare set and the keys were in the door pocket so I guess out of range. Any ideas? Can Lexus unlock the car remotely using Enform or something?

if its a loaner car, just call lexus in the morning,, they should have an extra set of keys.. I dont understand though,,, the doors shouldnt have locked at all.. if the keys are in the door pockets,, you should be able to unlock the door,, think about it,, the car cant distinguish whether the keys are outside or inside of the car,, it should be within distance to unlock the doors..

Yeah, calling the dealership in the morning is all I can really do at this point. Lexus Roadside Assistance said they couldn't do anything. It's just a huge bummer because I need to be somewhere early in the morning, now my whole schedule is screwed. And the dealership I went to being 45 minutes away doesn't help.

Apparently the key fob is in a dead spot, so the car doesn't know it's there. Murphy's Law was king today.

Yeah! I once put my backpack in the trunk with my keys in it and the trunk won't lock!
After a minute I realized that the keys where in the backpack!

I would imagine the battery in the key is too low. And the car isn't picking it up. Otherwise you should never be able to lock the smart key in the car.

^ Yeah, that's what the Lexus tech suspects too. They had to drive someone all the way to my apartment complex from the dealership (50 miles round trip) to break into the car and retrieve the key. What a PITA.
