^ +1 A3 def killed it.

The back is alright, I just really, really, REALLY don't like the front. It just looks like the awkward looking younger sibling to the RX.

thank you. great post.

i dunno all the green angles, but the new fusion hybrid seems WAY more impressive to me.

OK. To each his own. I respect your opinion, but, to me, the A3, while not exactly ugly (I've seen lots worse) is just another small 5-door wagon with an oversized, wind-sucking Audi grille.

With the right equipment on it, though (read: 2.0T and DSG), the A3 can be a great little car to drive.

I just got done driving the HS250h for the whole day during the press preview today. I'll share my thoughts once the embargo lifts. I will say, the HS is in a class of it's own as far a stability and driver feel. Prius and Civic Hybrid can't compete with it that's for sure. I got to drive a variety of configurations of HS in different environments...residential, city and highway.

Being derived from a Prius and sold as a luxury alternative to the Prius could create a niche market.

Most sport wagons do not sell very well in the US market, but the A3 sells because it's the most attractive and fun to drive wagon in it's class. As an enthusiast it's one of the few wagons I actually like.

There shouldn't be auto-press embargos to start with. They are complete nonsense.....just like the nonsense of driving around pre-production models with those bull-s*** masks, bras, and tape.

I'm not venting at you, Ryan ....just the system and its nonsense, which deserves a vent.

Can you at least tell us if Lexus is moving in the same direction as BMW under the hood - no dipsticks and no radiator caps? I hope not, but auto makers seem to believe that no one will maintain their cars and they want to seal things and let computers monitor those functions for us.

Amazing what 10 inches of wheelbase (or however long that is.. just guesstimating) does to the overall shape of the car. It looks more like a GS/LS with your PS change

Yeah I agree, it should be fair game once the car is introduced to the public. The embargo date for the HS is close to the end of the month...it wont be long from now!

In typical Toyota/Lexus fashion, everything is still very accessible. There maybe plastic covers to hide some of the engine compartment, but the typical diy items like oil dipstick, washer fluids, coolant and etc are there.

Nice photoshop!

The guy in the driver's seat is the program director for MotorWeek. I had the opportunity to sit with him at dinner along with the Chief Engineer of the IS Convertible on Thursday night.
