Default Trans fluid change

I was fully doubtful when I heard that toyota cvts come with lifetime trans fluid. I put about 8k miles since I bought now sitting at 67k miles. Since I didn't know how the previous owner treated the car and I for sure knew that he didn't change the trans fluid.
So I took it in for a fluid change and what do you know, the average mpg went up from 41mpg to 43mpg D(quite miniscule difference but still great!) and this is with driving few hundred miles before and after in the same driving condition.
One thing I also noticed is that the transition between battery to engine became so seamless. Before, I thought that I felt the transition due to the car being an older model. But I guess the HS was capable just due of trans fluid change.
Ever since my previous car blew up I'm just putting in efforts to maintain the car up to date. I guess the next time I change the trans fluid again is in 40k miles or so later

There's a great YouTube video by "The Car Care Nut": how to keep your Toyota for 300k miles

It is worth a watch. I took notes and built a maintenance schedule for my car in a spreadsheet.

Another long life trick is to clean out the hybrid battery cooling fan ducts and fan blades. You have to remove the rear seat, but it is not hard. On this link see post 10.
