I was at the dealership last week getting service. So while waiting, I went to their customer service counter and asked the guys how to make Lexus stop sending me texts I don't need. They asked what I meant, so I showed them texts saying that they had received my payment or that they had processed my payment. These texts just waste my time. I only want to hear from Lexus if they HAVEN'T received a payment, or the check bounced, or if the GX is being recalled to finally remove all the annoying tech it is stuffed withg that's so distracting.
It was funny, because one of the Lexus customer service guys then said he gets those texts too and they're really annoying. They suggested I call their 800 number, but every time I've called that number, I get some know-it-all millennial girl who I end up arguing with (I just tried that number again, and ended up arguing with yet another know it all millennial girl).
Their customer support is not interested in what their customers need to know. As far as I can see, the only way to stop all these stupid texts is to block Lexus, or to just pay off the car. Has anyone found any other way to stop sending texts that basically tell us that (a) the US postal service is still delivering mail and (b) our banking system is still processing payments?
