Default 2018 GX460 right back up light broken

My wife's 2018 GX460 has a broken right back up light.
1. How hard is it to replace this myself? I'm guessing you have to take the rear bumper off.
has anyone taken the rear bumper off?
2. Can someone post the diagram schematics for the rear bumper and tail light. The versions I have found online look like older models.

Interested as well since mine has a similar crack.

FWIW, Dealer saw it during my inspection and quoted me 300 to repair.....

Thanks Acrad for the diagram.
Stealership was wanting $185 labor for install and then $171 for the part. ($356 total)
online link will be about $114 including shipping for the part

I think I might take a look under the vehicle this weekend to see if its worth saving the $242 to do it myself.

Matt gives 50% off shipping with code CLUBLEXUS. That might save a few bucks too.

Removing any body panel and bumpers, will definitely outside my comfort zone.

Yea, I'm ok with an older model car but with a newer Lexus I would kick myself if I broke something.
I might just buy the part and see what a body shop will charge for the install.

Hey my friend, I removed my entire rear bumper for an aftermarket metal one. I’ll snap some pictures of how the light is secured on the bumper for you.

If I remember correctly, the bumper is very flexible and only the right side will need to be remove to reach the two bolts holding the light. Once the bolts are removed, you will need to give the light assembly a firm push from the back side so that it will pop out. I made a quick video for you. Let me know if you have anymore questions.

If you’re close to Fort Worth, I can sell you my light for $50 if you would like. Came off my 2018 truck under 3k on the Odometer.

Actually I'm in Austin. In the video you show a broken tab. I think the same one on mine (but passenger side) is broken also. I might try a repair or see what a body shop might charge.
I would be interested in the light (passenger side), would you be willing to ship it if I pay for shipping?

I had mine repaired when someone backed into me. The repair shop told me that the mounting bracket also broke. They said a new bracket was included in the OEM replacement light, but you might want to make sure you need the bracket as well.

Same thing happened to my wife's GX. I was able to replace the light without removing the rear bumper. If i remember correctly, I went under the car/wheel well to replace mine. It was a bit tricky but not too difficult. Took me about 45 minutes due to messing around trying different angles. I found my part on eBay for about $50

I replaced the light assembly today. Took about 30 minutes
i did not remove entire bumper but did remove a few screw on the light side to get access to the assembly bolts
very easy to do.
i was surprised that the dealership was wanting over $200 to do this.

special thanks to Lexus817 .
