Hankook Dynapro AT2

I was running the Hankook Dynapro on my 100 Series Landcruiser for the last year. It's an OK tire, not great in the rain. Tended to hydroplane at highway speeds in any standing water. Road noise was low and grip was OK. I bought them to replace the Falken Wild Peak A/T's I had the last 4 years. Didn't drive on them off-road, so I can't speak on their trail handling performance.

when shopping for tires in this general size, you need to pay attention to the tire weight. I didn't when I bought my Falken Wild Peak in 275/70/18 and daily driving performance suffered. They were a load range D tire with 10 ply sidewalls. It made the ride a lot more harsh and with each tire weight at 52 pounds for just the tire unmounted, it added a significant amount of unsprung weight to the entire driveline. Acceleration was affected as well as more downshifts on longer uphill driving.
As much as I liked the look of the larger sidewall, I couldn't go with that size on a daily driver with the majority of time spent on pavement.

Yeah, unsprung weight is a biggie for me because I theorize that higher-than-spec unsprung weight also leads to premature shock failure. And since i have the Luxury trim, the electronic shocks are $$$.
Thus, I am 90% set on getting Goodyear Wrangler AT Adventure with Kevlar in stock size. Same weight as stock tire yet stronger sidewall (DuraWall tech). And that Kevlar in the tread is nice touch...keep strength without added weight.
But i am always keeping an eye open for any new AT tire that can compete with Goodyear Adventure.

I had the hankooks on my 4Runner, I got nearly 80,000 miles out of them. even the guys at discount were impressed. it was with light trails and lots of snow to get to the mountains in Colorado. I liked them a lot, looked good and performed well
after I switched to the goodyear wranglers, and barely got 40k miles.
now on KO2's.

what size do you plan on getting when you are due for tires? I'm debating whether to stick with 18" or 17" which typically opens up way more options.
also, are you getting p-metric or LT?
I enjoy the factory ride so much I have almost ruled out an LT tire. It's not realistic for my needs.
