Horsepower?
Installed one of these recently on my 2014 Luxury. Got it on ebay new open box for $150, normally is $299. It works well, as advertised. I have it set on the second highest setting (Sport). Reduces a lot of the mushy long-travel feel of the gas pedal. Haven't noticed any reduction in mileage. Definitely makes the truck feel more responsive. The highest setting is almost too touchy. If you don't like the mushy gas pedal this is your answer.

Nice, how much would you say the response now? Is it touchy?
I think there's a coupon for $30 off until 7/28 - social30

I just looked on Ebay and Amazon and $299 is the cheapest I can find it. You got a great deal at $150.

Looks like an easy install that can be removed fairly easily too.

I had one of these on my 14 T4R.
It really changed how much I enjoyed driving the vehicle.
I just liked the delivery so much better.
That said, I'm fine with the GX get up and go. The 4R was less inspiring without it. I read somewhere they really changed the later 4R's to try and squeeze every last fraction of a mpg. I'm sure that's not unique to the 4Runner.

It's hard to quantify the response in a horsepower or torque manner. It just makes it so you don't have to mash the pedal to get it to go. If there was 3" of pedal travel before, it feels like there's only half that now for the same desired response. And I don't even have it turned all the way up, I have it on Sport +0. I think Sport+ with +4 is way too touchy.

Horsepower?
I feel like like my 2005 GX470 had more pickup than my new GX460. Does anyone know how to add more horsepower to the 2017 GX460 without voiding the warranty?

Pedal Commander seems to be the only performance option we have.

Back in 2010 MotorTrend was able to get 6.9 sec (0-60) time with the 460.
Are you running aftermarket rims and tires? Larger/heavier would be slower as well.

Always "custom" FI options but old "mr reliability" here I personally wouldn't go down that road. If I was a short term owner....sure... someone long term.. no thanks. I've yet to find someone provide me with some well documented studies that FI would improve the longevity of my engine.

As an interesting comparison, I have been trying to find out the true differences in specs and parts between the LS460(385hp 1UR-FSE) and GX460 engines(301 HP 1UR-FE).
I know the compression is higher on the LS, and it uses a dual injection system (wet flow injector and a direct injection), and I am wondering how much larger the cam profiles are as well.
I suspect that the cams on the GX460 are tailored toward maximizing low end torque, but I wonder how much advantage the tiny cams are really gaining versus cams from the GS or LS.
I would like to see some complete dyno graphs for each engine from 1,500rpm to redline.
In the end, it is a good little engine with lots of potential if one were to install better cams and a good tune or some boost from a supercharger or turbo.
My other thought is that these GX460’s are under geared for a 6speed and a decently high revving V8. With some 4.56’s, it would really pick up its punch while passing and all around driving experience, especially with bigger wheels and tires. I doubt it would give up much, if any fuel mileage by swapping to higher numerical ratio gearing. Also, that would be a great time to add lockers.

EDIT: 4R forum

I know this is opposite of thread but I'd be curious about the ECO map fuel savings
===================
If you look around it seems like a lot of people are happy with the Pedal Commander
One example in a Wrangler forum

How do you get $50 off? Do you have to talk to the owner or there’s a code? I know they currently have 10% off with PC10 code.
