Auto Mirror Folding
 

Hey! :) After doing some research, I see that there is not much love for wanting our GX mirrors to auto fold on the lock and unlock command. I am currently in the research phase and looking to install this Mod.

Let me know your thoughts.

This is the only one I have read about here that works on the Prado. I would be willing to try it if I had power mirrors.

My brother has an LX570 and I find the folding mirrors on lock extremely useful in visually making sure the doors are locked even out of range of the key fob. I did some testing and found that all I need to find is a ground trigger upon lock to make the mirrors fold. None of the DIY threads seem to apply to the GX but maybe I've missed it in my search. If anyone is interested, I can provide a picture of the wire needed to be grounded just behind the mirror switch, but it is an easy test.

if this is true, that'd be awesome because I just bought a Kit that'll require me to take the door panel off and cut wires and what not.

I will attempt this in the coming week or two and report back.

connector is the same but he has a lot more wires going into that connector than my GX.

Has anyone successfully did this modification on GX460?
