Just wanted to throw out another option for anyone looking for a remote start.... I purchased a system from crutchfield. What I really liked about the system was optional the two way remote!

Does this option let you lock the doors while the car is running so you can run into the store without having to shut the car off?

 

I have never tried, but if the car is running in remote start mode it will shut off when you open the door.

 

Hello I need some HELP by instruction on this forum installed remote start OEM system after make everything by instruction all worked, I was able to activate module and my hazard light blink once like it should be, but my car don't start re try to activate module couple times and all work ok but car don't start from FOB
my care is Lexus GX460 2014 try true two different computers (PC TEchstream) (Autel MAxidasElite) true both activation show ok and no codes stored in modules but car don start only when I check remote start log(live data) it shows me like something is not ready

Unfortunately, I don't have documents that state what codes are in that system as it was apparently not available worldwide. One would probably have to look in TIS

New owner of a 2014 GX 460 Luxury. Learning. My wife wants remote start. I see info about startin g with the fob with a sequence of buttons, but apparently mine does not have that option. I also see that maybe Enform can be used and have the app, but no start option. I would rather not have to use a second fob for an aftermarket remote start..... what are my options?

Welcome to the club! Recently purchased a 2015 GX 460 Premium and I was told by Lexus that 2015 and lower you can have the enform app for safety connect but not remote start. Unfortunately you will most likely have to go aftermarket or find a way around this. Looking at a Viper System as the time to open the app and start the car is a lot more responsive then the Lexus app I have heard.

I’ve installed OEM but the 12V Solution looks easier and doesn’t require Techstream. It still uses factory FOB as well.

There are other distant (cell) starter options as well but I believe most of those are installed by shops.

Understand the desire to have only the single Lexus fob for this but be aware that the
factory fob is the weakest link in this chain. The published range is '80 but your mileage
may vary! The aftermarket systems have more useful range and may (higher priced
versions) be "2-way" which transmits back to the fob that the vehicle successfully started.

 

I have a 2012 GX460. I just bought the PT398-0T090 in hopes I could piece together the RS system. Does anyone know the part number of the v4 harness? I have not been able to find it anywhere. Thank you.

 

Unfortunately, I don't remember seeing a PN for this harness.

Here is what I would try:

Check out the national auto wrecking yards searching out 2010-2015 460s and run the VINs at Lexus site checking the build data. If it was dealer installed then won't likely show up but if factory/port might be a way to obtain a used harness.

One caveat I can think to this is I have seen the full harnesses pulled out for sale and they may consider this part of the full vehicle wiring harness and not being willing to separate it.
