Hello all!
I'm considering a GX460 for next vehicle and would like to make the purchase in the next week. What sort of discount should I expect on a new 2015 GX 460 Premium? Dealer has about 6 on their lot and 4 or 5 2016s on their lot as well. I'm fine with either, but assumed I would do better on price with the 2015. Dealer is offering $1,000 off of a 2016 base model.
MSRP on the model I'm considering is $57,500.
Any recent buyers that can assist? I am in Texas; Austin area.
Thanks all!

I got mine at Lexus of Austin, but had a trade-in. GXs did not stay on the lot long when I got mine late last year. Mine was an inbound one optioned like I wanted. Had them add a tow package upon arrival.
FWIW - It has been our family's experience that Park Place Lexus in Dallas usually has better pricing via the 7 Lexus we own/have owned.

Bought a 2015 Premium on Monday. Dealer had to find the color combination and trade it with another dealer as they are a relatively low volume shop. The sticker on my car was $56,994, I paid 54,500. That’s about 4.24% off which was considered a good deal by True car. I might have done a little better but I’m not a great negotiator. I wanted the car and the price seemed fair.

I will say that you're in good shape in Austin (and especially if you're willing take the 2ish hour drive to Dallas / Fort Worth as well) just because the sheer size of those markets -- much easier to pit the dealers against each other there than many smaller markets (I flew from several hundred miles away to pick up mine from them because I live in a small market).
Best approach is just to shop around and may want to try spec'ing out a model with everything you want then sending every Lexus dealer in a 2 hour driving range an email / online request telling them you want to know their absolute bottom line price and you won't be making your decision on anything other than price at that point and that you don't want to shop or negotiate any further. Dealers don't always love that approach (and some won't respond to you and others will continue trying to get you to come in to the dealership to negotiate / test drive etc but I've had good luck telling them I'm not doing any of that).
